This is an umbrella organisation uniting ten voluntary fire brigade associations (have premises). The Community was founded in 1993. Alterations of the municipal borders brought on changes in the Community as well. It numbers 840 members. The age structure of the membership is as follows: 334 active members, 205 reserve members, female adults 80, male children aged 6-12 fourty-eight, female children aged 6-12 thirty-nine, male youth fifty-nine and female youth seventy-six.
Ranks and proficiency is as follows: 204 firemen, 37 first-class firemen, 54 junior officers, 23 first class junior officers, 13 officers, 6 first-class officers, 7 senior fire brigade officers, 2 first-class senior fire brigade officers and one honourable senior fire brigade officer.
It is evident from the history of each and every voluntary fire brigade association that they are steeped in tradition. Here is when individial associations were instituted: "Sunja-Greda", Sunja in 1895, Bobovac 1928, Staza 1931, Bistrac 1936, Donja Letina 1937, Zreme 1950, Selisce Sunjsko 1952, Gornja Letina 1952, Gradusa Posavska 1953 and Slovinci 1976. At the outbreak of the Homeland War, entire real estate, vehicle and possessions were available to the Croatian army. We have been repairing war damages thanks to dwindling donations or by our own finances.

Humanitarian, patriotic and catholic association. It was established in Sunja back in the war-time, in 1993. The aim is to encourage and nourish, among Croatian women, spiritual values, love for fellow human being and, above all, love for our Homeland. The association also works to initiate activities in furthering culture, health care and economy.
Its humanitarian activities have not been stopped but enriched by presentations of our cultural heritage.
The association is in charge of our traditional Contest for selection of the best arranged yard, most beautiful detail in the environment and the loveliest balcony, window or shop window.
The results of the selection see the daylight during the annual municipal festivities.

In the aftermath of the military operation "Storm", expelled Croats from the northwestern Bosnia arrived to the Sunja area where they settled down. Nowadays, there are over 2000 settlers (refugees) from Bosnia and Herzegovina and former Yugoslavia who have found their home in and around Sunja. These people founded an association in October 1996 and named it the "Association of refugees from municipalities in the northwestern Bosnia". The Association, which cares for the interests of their fellow expelled Croats, changed its name in 1998 to the Sunja Municipality Settlers' Association. It advocates realisation of permanent accommodation for the ninety percent of its membership which opt to remain in this municipality.

From 2002 onwards, parish Caritas has been present in our municipalty. Scarcity and want of parishioners for spiritual and material aid gave rise to Caritas, which representatives, on Christmas and Easter visit families with many children and the elderly, lonely people. They receive food and one-time financial assistance. Caritas members tend to people stricken by diseases all the time. They receive medicine and hygene items. Our fellow parishioners assist this association. Unfortunately, there are fewer and fewer donations coming in.

It was founded in 1988; cares for material and health needs of the 63 of its members.
The Association aims to increase membership by setting up branches in Greda Sunjska, Bobovac, Staza and Cetvrtkovac. The retirees are renovating the premises and hope this will enable them to work in better conditions and to meet more often.
